Region Locking
So if I understand this correctly, the region locking ONLY deals with the Transmitter Module?

Does it have any bearing on the 5014 receivers?

Yes, it is only TX Module.

I have no problem for the full 72 bands with all my 5014 receivers.

Dapan, you have to buy the 35 MHz TX module. The 72 MHz TX module can not be converted to 35 MHz (as far as I know). Once you buy the module, make sure that you have access to 14MZ utility, where you can set the region. Try any large on line shop, either in UK or Germany or other parts of Europe that use 35 MHz. You can also get one from HongKong, but pls be aware that the HK version have much lesser channels opened. You will also have to buy the 35 MHz receivers

The utility to change your TX area comes as a software in CF card, your local distributor may be able to help. When you insert this CF card (with the proper software in it) in your CF slot and turn on your TX, then all the selections come out. It is a very simple thing, if you get access to this utility software. Without this, it is practically impossible to change it. Please also be aware that the TX module for FX 40 series is not compatible with the MZ 14/12 series.

In the calibration tool for the 12zh, i was able to switch from 29mhz to a 35mhz... the only place i know which uses 29mhz is Singapore... also am able to switch the location 'home country' as well.
I was in Cambodia, and was able to use my 14mzh and the 12zh and I sorta live in Singapore.

Am sure there is a Calibration tool for 14mzh,
Dapan, maybe you should try the other forum, heliFre@k.com
