This is a great site and these guys will do a great job with this event.

This is very close to the intersection of I-40 and I-77 in No Carolina. Very Centrally located!

I'll be there for sure and hope all the 'heli-nuts' in the region will put it on their calendar!

We need more events like this in the Carolinas and our support will bring it back next year!

I hope to see you there.

Great site to fly!

I'll be there!

Should be some great heli flying also, there will be some top notch pilots there.
All the locals there only know how to make a heli turn left, and stop in to pit.
LOL

Just kidding Ross.

Loco Stunt
Those Loco Stunt Guys from Raliegh seemed to flip and hit a table everytime they flew, whether it was thier heli or not.... j/k, all of you guys are better than me.

We hope to make this an annual event and if the turnout is going to be as good as we hope we will definitely make it a yearly thing.
Thanks
Chris

Update
HobbyTown USA , has generously given us a RTF Eflite, Blade CP electric micro heli for our pilot raffle. Also if the weather permits, we will have a full scale R22 flying in on Saturday to be on display for a while, and perhaps an exhibition flight.

Come on out, we are going to have a great time!

So who is coming to join us for a great weekend of helicopter flying?

Motel Information
Most all of the motels in Mooresville are located within a mile of each other. There aren't any in a "bad" location, and none are significantly closer than the others.

Ramada Limited 704.664.6556 one adult one bed is $60, Two adults two beds is $70

Super 8 704.662.6188 one adult is $65, two adults two beds is $75

Sleep Inn 704.799.7070 one or two adults with one or two beds is $75

All of these offer a free continental breakfast, cable, and swimming pool. These motels are about 15 minutes from the flying field, but are conveniently located near restaurants, and Interstate 77.

DIrections from the field to the motels (about 10 miles)
-Leave the flying field and turn right on Patterson farm rd. It dead ends into Hwy 3.
-Take a right onto hwy 3 and it will take you all the way thru Mooresville where it will dead end into hwy 150.
-Turn left on Hwy 150, and in about 3 miles you will be at the intersection with I-77, all the motels are at the intersection.

If the forecast can be believed, the weather should be great for the fun fly with a break from the heat... 80 to 82 degree highs...perfect !

Only a couple more days......

Phil and I will be there. We're leaving Duke University (Durham) at 0630 hrs, and getting breakfast somewhere along the way.

So how many pilots are you expecting?

See you there!

Jeff

How many pilots are we expecting...well that is the question everyone seems to ask! I wish I knew! I would say that conservatively estimating, we will have 40 pilots. I am going to be quite surprised if there aren't a lot more here though. I just don't want to give anyone the wrong idea that its going to be huge, when it may not be. Look forward to seeing you and Phil here though. Talk him into staying for the second day!

It should be a great weekend for a flyin. Some people had already started arriving with trailers and RV's last night (Friday).

The weather forecast is for sun and clouds, high of 82 and wind gusts of 3 mph !
