at the time of the original post, there was only one brushless century motor. it is a rebadged himaxx 4100-2015.

now, there's the century brushless outrunner. this post was not referring to that one though.

i took my stock pro out to day for the first real flight after sorting out all the tail problems. i had severe head loading going on. i put this down to the motor but seeing yours fly it must be something else ( to much pitch? ).

plus what pinion do you have? i have a ten tooth on mine witch is the same one i had on my elite, same spec motor but there was no loading. so i thought it would be fine for the pro.

10t is the stock pinion. what do your throttle curves look like? and, what kinda pitch are you throwing at it? and, finally what battery are you using?

no curves as such. just enough to ramp up so the gov kicks in, witch is set to about 90%.

i using iRates, 3 cell, 1.1

pitch wise i have no idea. i think that could be the problem. i lowed the -pitch and that made a bit of difference but before i could do the +pitch i hit the ground 'cos i lost a lot of head speed coming out of a flip.

what pitch range do you have?

my esc doesnt have gov mode (upgrading to cc25 when my 400DF comes in). so, for now i just have my idle up1 set to 88% throttle. my pitch curves are linear from -9 to +10 with hover at about 60% stick.

the 4100-2015 bogs a little but not as bad as what you're experiencing i think.

the reason i asked about the battery was for your discharge C rate and capacity. if it's bogging i was curious how much power the motor was able to get from your pack. which specific pack are you running?

the cells are 12c/15c.

i'm of flying tonight a mate is going to bring down a pitch gauge so i can have a good look ot the pitch. at a guess it look about 15+. let you know tonight.

C is useless without the total capacity what is the pack's rating? 740mah? 1320mah? 1500mah?
