I have a new Raptor 90std with the driven tail. Compared to my 30, it takes a bit more force to spin the entire rotor and tail mechanism (Using the flybar). I have no basis for comparison and was wondering if this was normal.

I understand it's bigger and it might just simply be that. I just didn't want to crank it up if I had a problem.

Also, I have a bit of clicking in the tail rotor assembly. I thin it's just the gears releasing tention from not being aligned properly. Doesn't sound serious, I guess I'll just have to work with it.

Hi.
I don't think something's wrong. When the gears are new it's takes a little more froce to spin then. It will turs easier after a few tanks of fuel.
Maybe you should check the play between the tailgears again. I have to use one shim to get it right.

Another thought to think about,

How did you install the tail boom ? pushed in hard/snug ?
Maybe try slackening it out a very small amount, may free things up ?

I'll try loosening the tail boom a bit, that might help.

The Raptor 90 is a piece of art, I really like it.
