I accidentally discovered this at the field the other day...the fuel tank sort of popped out the back end of the model. I was removing the remaining fuel after a flight and had sealed all the lines off (almost forgot to de-fuel it) and the tank just popped out the back. I thought initially that the frame had cracked or something equally serious. Than I glanced at the tank and saw that it had constricted enough because of the vacuum that had been created, that the little "buttons" that hold it in were no longer in contact with the frame. I was able to gently reinsert the gas tank. I removed one of the hose clamps and the tank expanded back to normal, locking itself back in place. I will use this next time I need to remove the tank. Just hook up the fuel pump, run it in the "out" mode, and the tank is easily removed w/o any force at all. No frame screws need to be removed. Have a great week!

Sorry about that. However, it's not as nifty as I first thought. It seems that the rear landing gear strut/frame screw still needs to be romeved. The suction allows the rear tank tabs to clear the rear frame, but the front tank buttons are still a bugger unless the screw is removed. Thought I was on to something. Have a great week!
