I hope these are about it. I'm getting really close.

1. About what length should the pushrods for the push-pull elevator be? Where a lot of the pushrods have little thread showing, these have about 7mm showing on both ends with a length of 109mm. I got my pushrods mixed up in a pile but I'm pretty sure that these are the right ones.

2. Where should I put the pushrod supports on the tail boom for the rudder servo relocation? Should they be closer to the ends or evenly spaced?

3. I've noticed that my main gear moves up and down about 1/2 of a millimeter. The instructions said to make sure that a shim was between the auto unit. It was there. It didn't explain that you used more shims to get rid of the play. Will that be too much play or will it be OK? I've already had to disassemble once to put the right thrust bearing spacers in.

Thanks,

1- there is only one link length that will do. First make sure the bellcrank and the servo horn are parallel at neutral. Use subtrim for that. You should use the link length, on both sides, which will keep the parallel relationship. With the main mast vertically leveled, make sure that the bellcrank arm that goes to the swashplate is horizontal. Measure the level from the pivot screw to the ball link, and not the top of the arm, which is slanted in relation to the centre of the arm.
2- I only used one support on my pushrod. Since it is carbon, none is really necessary. I just figured it was really difficult to align two supports so that the pushrod would run free. Using one, in the middle of the pushrod, makes adjustment easier.
3- my main gear is locked in place. No play. Make sure you didn't miss any steps on the assembly, since this sounds fishy to me.

It's easy to find an excuse to do wrong. Hard is not to find an excuse to do right.

The main gear moving a little is fine - I have 3 predators (2 90's and a gasser) and they all move a little.
