Just got this installed on my R50. It seems to be as smooth as the stock plastic one and is almost the same weight..

These are machined by Cforcht (sp?) I bought one a few months ago and it has been great. Not that there was anything wrong with the stock plastic one I guess, but it looks nice on the heli. I'm not a bling guy usually, but my R50 had some basic metal upgrades on the head when I bought it and adding this to the tail helped even out the look.

I like that Looks very strong. Any chance you could take a pic so we can see the other side, not the side with the fin installed.

Thanks

Check out his gallery for some really cool CNC stuff he does.
He also has a R90 Tail box in the works. I'm testing a prototype now
and just like everything he makes, it is a work of art!

Props to Craig.

Money order sent last week, just received mine today.

Unfortunately, I have to wait until after church to install it.

Pre-assembled, all hardware included (except for the
bearings, etc... from my old tail box).

Thanks again Craig!!!!!!!!!

You don't loose the red pulleys. If you want a different color, then you need to buy the pulleys in addition to Craig's tail box. Otherwise Craig's gearbox is a direct replacement and uses all of the stock parts from the Raptor tail box.

I've got one of Craig's tail boxes on each of my Rappy's. Craig does a beautiful job machining these parts.

5irc...

did you ever stop to consider there is a reason for the idler pulley? yeah it looks nice and clean without it. But without the idler to keep the belt down in front of the tail pulley it will have a tendency to ride up over the teeth on the tail pulley if theres any slack at all in the belt. Just thought I'd point that out to you

Why not start your own post. Why plug this post (that was started to praise Craigs work) with your design? No praise of your own?
I would order from Craig just for this reason.
