I borrowed a Mega 16/15/5 and Kontronics Jazz from a friend. My 400dh is a lot of fun, but the TP2000 Pro Lite packs are really heating up after 7.5 minutes of hard flying. I'm going to try the Mega with 2 of the TP2000's to see if they'll run a lot cooloer. It's feels really heavy though. For those of you who have run a similiar, you got any tips/comments before taking it up? I am a little worried it's just going to explode of spin up.

Thanks,
Ryan

PS I've got an 11-tooth pinion on the motor.

Headspeed should be fine. I think the weight will be excessive though. I'm running the same motor and plan to try this with two 3s 1320 TP packs as soon as I get some more connectors.

Well, it didn't explode. It didn't have the perfomance I thought it would either. Maybe that's due to it's bloated weight, 856gr. Might need to increase my pitch range too.

I actually flew it very little. My tail is is worn out and the brass slider is sticking causing somewhat erradic flight behavior. I'm going to wait until the heliup slider shows up on Monday to try again.

The climbout was definitely better than my 3s setup. Maybe P or so better. Nothing like heliup's vids I've seen though. I don't know my max pitch or the RPM. Like I said, I just flew it for a bit, so I've got plenty of tweaking to do.

I did try a few stationary flips. The rpm's held just fine, but due to the above mentioned tail problems, I almost put it in when it began to piroette unexpectedly on me while inverted. It got unstuck afer a few revolutions, and needless to say, I put it down immediately.

I'll post more later in the week once I've got some more flights on it.

What are other HV setups weighing in at?

Ryan
