I'm looking forward to that caliber 5 coming out this year. Not gonna get it right away but I'm curious to hear what other people have to say about it. Seems to look more like the Caliber 60 than the 30. Notice the layout on the 60 and the 30. The 60 has side mounted servos while the 30 has vertical mounted servos. I never understood why they did this. Anywho, I prefer the 60 size layout with the push pull on everything. One thing I don't like though is that z-bend on the tail pushrod linkage. I would have liked to see either a CF rod or push/pull tail control like the 60 size. The tail control system on the Caliber 60 is gorgeous IMO. I hear that the Caliber 5 is supposed to be priced in the same range as the other 50 sizes, so this machine should get some attention. It is definitely more closely modeled after the 60 than the 30. Now if they just made the head the same, I'd be happy !

some have said that the Caliber 5 is MMS only but closer inspection of the pictures on Jason Chans site shows that it is EMS capable. And even better is that in EMS mode its now Push-pull

I've e-mailed jason about the error. Its clear as day if you look at the Caliber 5 with the ys-50 engine in it. Its setup for 120 degree EMS. Look at the linkages your self by comparing the 2 pictures of the Caliber 5 that are on his site. You will see that the OS 50 version is setup as the MMS system and the 50 version is setup for EMS.
