I got G3 recently and am pretty impressed, I especially like the blade sounds, the visable flybar movements & also the crash effects.

But one problem is that heli's can survive unrealistic impacts with the ground (when straight & level). Once i discovered this I spent hours bouncing the heli of the ground at crazy speeds, fun but not realistic!

Is there a landing difficulty setting anywhere, I've looked but can't find one?

Tim.

I believe that's one thing they will fix with future updates. G3 is good fun.

Jeff is right. I have known about this for some time.

I have made a fix that allows you to specify how easy or difficult it is to break off different parts of the aircraft [skids, boom, canopy, fins, wheels and blades]. Unfortunately you'll have to wait for the next update to get it.

So you're saying that when I finally get the guts to fly my Raptor, I shouldn't land it the way I've been landing the Sundog?

My first thought when landing in G3 was that it seemed pretty hard for nothing to happen. Figured there would have been a boom strike or two.

Travis,

Is there a tentative release date for the update?

This is kinda like getting your significant other a gift on some specific day [slightly exagerated].

If you give a very nice gift, but it is a week late, you sleep on the couch for a week.

If you deliver on time, but it is not as good as was expected, you sleep on the couch for a week.

The only way to not end up sleeping on the couch is to not tell that you have a surprise until it is in hand.

Travis,

So what you are saying is 2 weeks... (A little MA humor).

I work in software also and know that release dates are made to be broken.
