Watch the head block carefully. The pins for the pitch slider do come out, and when they do, it is no fun. I was flying pretty aggressively the other day, trying to learn some moves, had to make a couple quick saves, when i noticed the heli wouldnt respond to my commands very nicely. It was very nasty, when full colletive hardly raised the nose. But i managed to fight it down without crashing. It was a son of a B@#%^. And that is to say the least.
After inspecting this heli i noticed that the pins pulled out of the head block and were wedged up against the swash. Not only that, when i gave it full collective the whole head jerked and jamed even worse. This was an experience i wont soon forget. But still makes me thank those many hours of puting myself in trouble, purposly on the SIM, and practicing recoveries.
So just be careful. I hate to hear of mishaps due to bad manufacturing, when in deed, the manufacture is never going to cover crash damage, even if it is due to bad manu.
I thoroughly cleaned, roughened, and re cemented the pins back into the block. Everything seems to look good so far. This may be something you want to do from the get go. Dont just CA them in, take the time to roughen the ends, and cement them in with something strong. Like the green glue they include in the kit, or something comperable.
