Being I am a Raptor person...can you do the Rit Dye thing to these parts and get them black?

Anyone got a broken part to test it out on?

I think she would be way sexier dressed in black...after all who isnt

Yes, you can dye just about everything on the TRex. The canopy is a polycarbonate I believe so it won't dye.

Do a quick search and you will find that quite a few guys dye their parts with excellent results.

The dye trick works very well. I found out that the main gears can be dyed too. I have some pics in my gallery of my T-Rex. Looks a lot like my Raptors.

Black rit dyed parts and royal blue dyed parts. They are not metal blue anodized parts.

It looks like a raptor with upgrade parts.

I used the standard 2 cups to the package of the Ritt dye and I didn't quite get the parts totally black. I'm going to try a slightly higher dye to water ratio next time.

Usually 2 parts black to 1 part navy blue yields the truest black but I used just a high concentrate of black alone and got a very good result. Even the paddles and landing gear took it quite well.

Rit "evening blue". Keep an eye on the time as color darkens the longer it stays in.

ps...thanks everybody for the answer to the question...I have dyed other parts to other helis...but I was not sure if the trex would except the dye...I now know it will.

sorry I did not search it first...I did not think that as new as the trex is that there was a post on it already.
