Im looking for a 90 machine... gonna be the first one

I really like the way 90s autorotate.. I have only seen vigors, tempest and furys at my local field doing it... and everyone told me that the raptors dont even get close to that... wondering if its true??

Anyone who made autos with the r90 or the r90 se? whats your impresions on it? and also what do you think about the r90 se against the Fury Tempest... just dont know which one to buy.. dont care to much about the money just flying characteristics...

everyone here has the tempest or the fury.. so by now I dont have an objective point of view...

thanks.

We only live once, Raptor 50, Freya 90 Ys 90st

i fly 2 Raptor 90 SE's and they are great....fly very fast on cyclics and has great collective power........

i have no problems with outos on a R90 SE.......it can do anything you can do.......so if you can do good autos then you will be fine.......

dont get convinced the raptor SE isnt as good as furys, vigors etc....with a little tuning the Raptor 90 SE is as good as any heli out there.......

The autorotation performance is mostly dependent on what blades you are using (weight, air-foil, length, width) and the weight of the helicopter.

So there is no reason why a R90 should auto worse than other helicopters out there, unless you have a malfunctioning auto-bearing which some 90 machines from many different brands seem to have problems with.

these are 2 differnt animals. previous thread is right on not many rr guys can give a real honest opinion. the best bet is to fly the different machines, I have owned all in ? and the min air product is absolutely prestine but the crash index is just to hight a good hit and there goes 500 bucks. I have a r90se and it flies rock solid,I also have a x spec and it is rock solid, so unfortunately the way this game works is by one build it fly it and let yourself be the judge. I am a fan of standard mix do to bad experience with interaction, but anyway good luck

I have 90 SE's, Tempests, and Vigors. Good autos depend in large part on blades. If I had to only own 1 brand of machine it would be the Tempest, but as has already been mentioned, the crash cost is right up there with the national debt. My SE's auto just fine. I have had different blades that I like more than others for doing autos but as far as the heli itself, it's plenty capable.

Depends what kind of autos your talking about

There's no doubt the raptor 90 has a little less reserve than most other 90's probably due to the fact they're slightly on the heavy side. Am sure I'll get a few people disagreeing with me on here but for inverted autos with low pullouts, there's not a great deal of reserve left which can make them a bit of a gamble.

On the other hand if your running the right blades there's no reason why the auto performance shouldn't be very good.
