Wow!! Thank all of you for the warm welcome!!

Hopefully I can answer some of the questions posed of me.

Robin asked what type of flying I prefer. Well I love hovering, flying low and slow, some aerobatics and I love to do auto's very challenging and a lot of fun.

I really would like to get into scale, To that end I'm thinking of getting a Century S300C, I know it is far from accurate scale, but I think it will be a good start. Add a cockpit and the 3 blade head. WOW.

I've owned alot of helicopters over the years, I had gotten out of RC for quite awhile, but I love helicopters and really missed flying them so I'm back. Things sure have changed, but I"m sure for the better.

I've noticed a great interest in 3D flying, but that is not my thing, more power to those that can do it, but it is just not for me.

I remember once giving a demo to some people, There were 2 heli pilots, me and a 3D pilot, I flew around did some loops, some hovering and some low and slow flying, you know figure 8's in front of me, tame stuff really and of course then there was the 3D demo, afterwards alot of the spectators complimented me on my flying and said the 3D looked out of control. I took this as a great compliment. I guess that spectators (those who don't fly heli's anyway) well suffice it to say the 3D was just lost on them.

Like I said more power to those that can and those that want to learn, It certainly makes for better equipment for those of us who don't aspire to 3D.

Well if enough of my rambling for now,

All of you take care and here is to a long friendship on RunRyder,

Kandace

Hiya Kandace, I'm Jeanette...aka Whirly-Girl.

If you check out: http://runryder.com/t152069p1/

you'll see that I tried the same thing. We have a lot in common!!!

It generated a lot of interest...both positive and negative...but, no action has really been taken on this forum because we are such a minority. What I DID accomplish was a network of female fliers (mostly heli, but I started including airplanes too) via a contact list. I periodically update my master list and then re-distribute to those who want to participate. That way, if we happen to find another who is close by, we can meet up at some local flying events.

PM if you are interested.
