How about RR court? Mark could set-up a seperate thread with password acess to where 10-12 established good guys, the buyer and seller could only a read and post. They debate the issue and the jury would P.M. Mark as to their findings. Let Mark be the one to out the bad guys and decide the info to be revealed.

Testing the waters to see if something will sell before you buy just gets you into dark waters.
And not to mention selling something that is not even yours yet is just wrong! Should have his ass beat with a 710 IMO!...

Videodc Lets see.....I remember you telling me that you wanted to become a rep and sell the Horizon, you just loved the way they looked ect.I also sent you a lot of spar parts with the Helicopter becaused you made me think that you would keep the Horizon flying overthere for a long time to come.As far a emailing me...no my freind you never got intouch with me at all saying that you had a problem with either the Helicopter or engine.I sure would have helped you out in any way I could. As for the bellcranks, all the years that I or Helmut have been flying Horizons none have broken or come off. But Dave you are right, it was your Helicopter and yes you can do what you like, but if I would have know that it was all bull you would have never put your hand on one from me.All you did was waste my time.

Use postal money orders
This type is a federal instrument and thus fraud commited is a federal offence not civil. Anyway you should always pick up your toy personally because shipping an item poorly also becomes your problem. If the seller has issues with these items mentioned he is a burn. Rcu should have a recommendation list showing safe transaction tips.

As far as user rating, i think Mark should simply use a system similar to Ebay's where every user has a feedback, and you can leave either positive or negative feedback, and explain why. that would probably be the best (and already well proven!) way.

with that being said, anybody knows this guy ?

..Plus ebay is well monitored and you can't say what you really really want to..The problem is the liabilty of posting in pubic and getting sued..

I would think Mark would be able to monitor a system of this matter..

think about it - you really only have to monitor negative feedbacks..

who said I mentioned anything about the individual being a badguy? I specifically said "questionable" nuff said.
I dont like doing stuff like that, but wanted others to have a warning that I did not have even though I checked the blighters background.

I rarely sell, but when I do sell something I only handle it my way. My first preference is FedEx COD. It costs me an extra $8.50, but I get my money the day after the item is delivered. The FedEx delivery is secured and they only accept the payment type that I request. I can even specify that they accept a specific MoneyOrder number or Check Number that the buyer emails me before I send the item. If the buyer wants to send the money first to secure the purchase then I arrange a document pickup by FedEx. I always pay shipping and we both have immediate tracking ability.

There are always little cracks to slip through, but good communication eliminates problems. I always speak to the person on the phone also just to get a good read. Yes I got burned one time for $600.00 and it won't happen again. I'm always upfront with how I do business and if we can't do it my way I just move on to the next. It costs more than normal shipping, but I don't have any issues anymore.

I think a BadGuy list is a good idea if handled correctly, but I can see it getting out of control like it already has on this posting. The GoodGuy list also allows you to say if you didn't have a good experience. Why not keep it all in one spot?

Just my opinion...

Since there maybe liability issues with posting users name as possible "Risky" transaction "types", why can't there be a section(if Mark would create it) where a possible buyer can just post that he or she is possibly in the process of completing a transaction with "User "X" " and needs any information on this person and other users are free to use the Private Messaging system to relay past experiences?

I can see something like that working. Just my .02 cents.

Thats sounds good. But i think the best way is to just post that they are bad in the good guy list that way it can be tracked by the click of a button"find me on good guy list" problem solved.

bump...what's wrong with ALL entries on the GG list being collated in alphabetical order, that way, if i was about to deal with, say, Kirrajas, I could scroll to his name and skim through his entire dealing history....or would I have to do a J B at present to get the same result?
at the moment, I assume the entries are chronological.
Alphabetical just seems more logical.......Mark?
