Clinic
If you check the events section here on RR, there is a competition clinic in Tallahassee, April 16-17 We will have guys available to tell and demonstrate the AMA classes and FAI F3C, including the 2006 and 2008 maneuvers.

3-D is amazing to watch and is very difficult to master
but in FAI any tiny mistake is apparent fun to fly
not quite as exciting to watch for most
But I love the precision

Huh?
Kyle,
Why can't you fly? Assuming your model is flyable, you can fly all you want. We had guys fly 3 gallons in two days last year.
Ron,
I don't know if the 2006-08 list is published yet. I'm on the FAI mailing as a writer so I get to see the draft stuff. I think the actual vote for passage in in Nov and, if approved, it will be posted publically then. If you come to theTallahassee Heli Clinic, I'll have a copy for review. Of course, it's a little far to get to Florida from Israel unless you are coming to the US on vacation .

Clinic
The event is a setup clinic. You get help setting up your radio, model, motor, or whatever. The object is to improve the equipment you are currently flying, to make it fly better. While the clinic emphasis is on contest flying, we have many guys that are primarily 3D guys that come and have a blast. EVERYONE is welcome so come on, bring your stuff, and fly.
The FAI site has the current 2005 schedules but not the proposed 2006-8 schedules. The new ones are considerably harder to do well. All hovering maneuvers are vertical (no nose in and tail in eight!!!) and the aeros have some inverted pushes in them. I think we'll really like them once we get through the initial OHMYGOD! phase of learning.

Glad that I saw this post about new F3C schedule.
I will wait until the new schedule is out before putting $$$ into a new F3C machine.
