Well i thought i would share, i crashed my evo today, i don't know what exactly happened but while i was inverted i think the counter gear stripped, or it through a tail blade(everyone at the field heard it) . I lost control of the tail rotor but wasn't able to flip it over, so i kinda autoed it in inverted. I was able to slow the head speed to minimize damage but its still a 200-250 crash. Upon inspection of the wreckage the counter gear was stripped, and on tail blade grip had sheared at the mounting screw other than that the damage was minimal servo tray bent boom and other standard crash items.

Anyway i have to replace the tail assembly so why not upgrade to the freyas, does anyone have the part number for the whole tail assembly?

Sorry to hear about your crash.

What do you mean by "tail assembly"? You can't put the entire tail set from the Freya on a Sceadu Evo. These models use different shaped tail booms. You CAN use the tail rotor hub/grips from the Freya as well as the counter-gear/pulley assembly. Was the pulley/counter-gear assembly the one you're looking for?

Check out the Freya parts break down at:

I'm using the Freya tail hub and grips, which require an additional bearing (2500-070) as well as the 92mm Freya blades. My pulley and counter-gear are stock Evo parts.

You might want to discover WHY the counter gear let go....before flying again.

i have further looked in to the problem and it seems the counter gear 412216 stripped and tail belt gear412139 got grinded into dust, the tail belt got some to. i was thinking of just using the freya hub/grips, i have to buy a set of grips anyway so why not

yeh im from gallatin but i live in murfreesboro(mtsu).

Sorry about the link balsapro. I've updated it. Yes, you can use the Freya hub and tail grips. However, you will need to order a set of the extra bearings. The Freya grips call for an extra radial bearing in addition to the bearings used by the Evo grips.

Part # is 2500-070.

I would not recommend using the Freya front pulley if you're also using the Freya tail hub and grips. The Freya grips are longer, resulting in a tail assembly that will be 17mm larger in diameter for the same blade size. The combination of an extra large tail with the higher tail speed is too much for the smaller engines.
