hallo,
i would like to know if there are wattmeter with on board memory, at the moment i have the medusa analyser but it needs the cable connection to pc to record datas.
There is something that store automatically values without needing any cable or my presence, i am bit too weighted to stay on the t-rex during flight .
i have seen e-meter but it needs i push a button to record datas, at least from what i have understood.

thanks

I have the Emeter and it looks like you would plug the battery in, select battery screen and then press start just before take off. Fly around and then when you land you can press stop. Then you can transfer that info into 1 of the 4 memory positions and then try another battery pack if you like. There is also software available now that makes it possible to download the stored memory (1-4) to PC and it uses graphs and good stuff like that.

I haven't tried it yet because I'm lazy but I have the PC cable here as well so I'll have to pull my finger out and try it.

I just had a bit of a play with my Emeter and it looks like you have to enter the data into the memory positions manually at different times of the test.

It doesn't look like it stores continuous data like I first thought but only when you tell it to by pressing a certain button.

Sorry for the confusion, I haven't really used it much other than to check max current for my setups.

Maybe you should have a look at the Emeter and read about it before you make any decissions.

For onboard data logging (and optionally telemetry), data loggers such as Eagle Tree's Seagull, RCATS , or the DIY datalogger are probably what you're looking for.
