Hi all! I fly a decked out Shuttle ZX. Currently I am on the 3rd clutch, and my 2nd clutch bell just let go at the spot welds today. What is the best way to get the best clutch to bell alignment? I am needing to replace one or the other on each gallon.

Hi, I used to fly shuttles alot, And I quit having clutch problems after I loosened the tail drive belt tension.

Please use the aluminum clutch bell assembly! Do not tighten the motor
screws until you adjust the vertical position of the motor mount. This
lets the motor shaft align it self to the clutch bell. My old ZXX lasted
ten years with two clutches.

Hovergirl, thank you. I actually have recently tried running the tail belt looser, But I think it was already too late for this bell. Thanks for confirming one of my tests.

Royrex, you had a ZXX?? I am pretty sure the frame, start method, and clutchbell are all part of a different beast than I have. I will look into it though.
