I was there, and I know what you are talking about, but you have to realize how small the heli community still is (in contrast to all other R/C).
I did enjoy myself, and Saturday's auction was a blast, but I was looking forward to bringing a heli home (none in the auction). Most of the manufacturers were there, but they did not have thier wares for sale.

Flying a heli is like seeing the Matrix, it is a mind bending experience.

I go for the great opportunity to stock up on build supplies, tools, etc.
There was one heli for sale in last years auction and it was a steal at $700. I have a hard time buying something like that without having the abilty to test drive it if you know what I mean.

Toledo is a great place to see what's new and to see the top modellers in the world disply their incredible building skills.

I do enjoy going to the show and seeing all the new stuff. BGut it would be nice for a change to actually have the major heli players their selling.

One can always hope I guess....

BTW: The Friday nite ETOC was outstanding....

Well i went last friday and it was about the worst experience i have ever had at a show
as far as people being rude pushing and shoveing to get up to a table just to see what was there
i dont know how many times my feet were steped on
i love this hobby but in general most people are just so d@# rude
and they dont know how to say excuse me when they bump into you
and i too was dissappointed in not seeing more heli items
hope it gets better in the future
sorry no ofense to any one but just had to put my 2 cents in about it

There is a very fine line between 'hobby' and 'mental illness.'

Toledo
Guys,

Toledo started as a trade show, not a selling arena, and has been trying to move back in that direction. They have stuggled to keep sales off the main floor the past 3-6 years and have succeeded to some extent even though making some vendors pretty po'd.

However, I suppose the helis could always be beefed up, but, I still got my fill. The MA guys are always nice and willing to hangar fly the new stuff, Horizon had the Vibe 90 and the new eFlite, which I think will revolutionize the hobby again. Hell, at $220 with collective, its better than a new sim upgrade I was thinking about
