[I've removed the original post. Based on the opinions of just about everyone here, BH normally returns calls and e-mails and apparently stands behind his product.

Hi Sgt,
I don't know how you did it, but, good for you. The experience that I outlined is fact. No less than three messages left on the answering machine over a week and a half period of time with no response. I only e-mailed once and again no response. Perhaps they only respond to people they know? Fact is I spent the money to make three long distance calls to them without the courtesy of a response. I stand by my opinion, as anyone who is in business and fails to respond to customer inquiries lacks customer service, as well as, courtesy.
Thanks for your response though.

Hanson Engines
I have called them on a few occasions asking them questions about their engines and they have always answered my calls and they have been very helpful I plan on purchasing one of their engines in the near future I am sure there is a good reason for them not answering you calls and emails

What dates?
Bruce may well be in Toledo, and he also enjoys racing boats. Not sure on his current location or situation, but he is NOT one to duck responsibility for his work or his clients. They do not answer the phone around the clock: part of the day he takes calls, the rest of the time he is making engines for very satisfied customers.

PM me a contact number for you, and I will get ahold of him myself on your behalf.

I sent Bruce a mail regarding a pull starter ring and got a reply very fast.
Seems like a great guy to deal with.

I am the proud owner of a Hason 3D Pro Max and have always had call promptly returned and emails responded to likewise. I do know that he is pretty much a "one-man" operation and a trip to Toledo might be the reason.

How about you keep your skivvies on and give him another call mid-week next week.

Or were you just calling for pre-sale info?

Doc,
What's going on? I think you are right and maybe he is very busy with the Toledo Show. Another thing to remember as you said, is that Bruce is a one man operation and he probably gets a lot of calls a day. If he is always on the phone, he will not get anything done. I have friends who take their phones off the hook some days just so they can get some work done.

I'll jump in to defend Bruce as well. Had great service from him, both before the sale answering my gasser n00b questions, and after the sale when I had setup questions.

I was going to take up Origami, but someone said the local club folded.

Jim,
All is going well here....well, except for the weather, but that's getting ready to change for real, here shortly. And, remember, you promised to come down and do some flying with us...LOL. But only when you get the time....I understand busy.

BTW, we'll be out at IRCHA this year too, so if it doesn't work out before then, we'll count on seeing you there.

avator, I think just a little patience on your part will be amply rewarded and Bruce really is a SUPER guy. And, if you buy one of his engines, I can guarantee you will be loving life....and that engine. And, if you do decide on one of his engines, I can also guarantee that not only Bruce, but all of us'n's will jump in to help you in any way we can.

Looks like you are the only one with an issue. That means there really isn't an issue with Bruce. He may have been out of town as others have suggested.

He always returns my calls very quickly. He even invited me to his shop the other day after business hours.

Best Regards, Dario

Howdy Bruce,
Great to see you weigh in on this thread! Think you can see that you have some pretty enthusiastic fans.

He got ambushed and rightly so. He was way out of line with his assumptions, and quickly found himself way out of his league.
