When I fly with the canopy I have to give it full pitch just to get it about 2 feet off the ground with a 2100 tp,but when I remove it I can fly normally.
Do I have to adjust my pitch for the canopy?

Thanks!!!!!

the cannopy doesnt weigh enough to cause you that kind of issue from its weight alone. I would guess you are having a problem with your canopy interfering with your mechanics. Take a close look and see if during full pitch movements something isn't being blocked from full movement. You would still have to have some pretty weak servos i would think for this to be an issue but its the only thing i can think of since the canopy simply doesnt weigh enough unless you painted it with lead.

If it happens at the beggining of the flying session, i don't have a clue. But if it occurs after a few flights, it may be caused by the motor or battery heating up from lack of air flow (assuming you have no vents in the canopy (not a good idea to leave out).

Also, have you checked your pitch range? You may not be getting enough pitch to do anything but barely hover.

When I was using the mechanical mixing setup I noticed that the pitch lever would hit the top of the canopy...but this was only at full neg. pitch. I would make sure that the linkage isn't hitting anything when you have the canopy on. My guess is there is some interference with the canopy not allowing the servo to move.

By any chance, did you SCREW the clear canopy part onto the white body? Maybe at the sides? I did that during the initial build and discovered that the screw on the right side goes right into the aileron servo arm. Not a good thing. I shortened the screw. On the left side, a similar situation would interfere with the collective servo. Depends on how you mounted the "windshield" (or whatever it is called).

The airelon levers hits the canopy when you try to pitch up and WILL cause the heli not to have full pitch potential so you MUST trim those off if not you will never have full pitch when flying with the canopy.
