I joined a local club recently and the advice and training has been excellent.
Trouble is, I am now better than my trainer and need to move on.
He has not been very helpful in explaining piro flips-He says my timing is all over the place, but i think it is more likely be my heli setup as I am really good now.
It is easy on truflite and I think my nexus is set up the same (and its full of bling)
A guy at my club suggested using 'training rings' on the tranny, but was not sure what they are.

Thanks in advance

I think a lot of people are doing piro flips, that should be spending their time learning the basics first. Everyone is a hero on the sim!

I think he means cyclic rings, they prevent binding in the servos at extreme travels, and max the stick only able to move in a circle instead of around a box.

here is some more info on them.

http://www.runryder.com/t166784p1/ maybe you could use these clips from Taipan, to see if your timing is out.

The so called training rings, is a ring that goes on your transmitter and allows you to rub the transmitter stick in side it, and stops the transmitter stick from entering in the corner(makes for a nice circular motion of the aileron/elevator stick)

Bought mine along time ago and have not seen them advertised for sale, for a while
Hope some of that makes sense,

Ryan.

Thanks Getfurious,

I have a spare gear that should do the trick.

Looks like a lot of work, but if the shops dont have them, what choice do we have?
I did search on piro flips, but did not find that one in the results-Thanks again
