i just bought an 8103 tx used and it has been setting on my desk for a week and he first time i turned it on after the week it beeped and displayed
"warning f mode "
i removed the battery and when i replaced it i got the same message i am assuming it is a failure mode but i would like to know for sure . while i was reinstalling the battery for the 2nd time i remember feeling a couple of the programming buttons on the front of the tx and then when i turned it back on it is working normal with a 10.6 battery level at first i figured it was a low battery lockout of of somekind but now i doubt that is the answer . has anyone else had this or heard of this
thanks

The f-mode warning means the idle up (Flight mode) switch was in one of the idle up positions. Helps keep you from having a hot start!

The 8103 Heli mode has three power-on warnings:

T.HOLD - Throttle Hold switch in 'Hold' position.

F.MODE - Flight Mode Switch not in NORMAL position.

INVERT - Invert Switch in INVERT position.

Repositioning the appropriate switch(es) will clear the error display and return the TX to normal operation.

That usually happens after the first crash and/or after getting back from a trip to emergency......
