I second the opinion to change the plastic radius block to a metal one.

Is the 3rd bearing block included?

I will also like to have an open tail design so that we can see the tail gears and do preventive maintence more easily.

You dont need it to be open because its belt drive.

Those belt drive gears do get worn out. Believe me. Been there and done that.

Freya engine mount
Hello Guys: Someone asked whether the engine mount went to one piece. It did not. Same as original Freya. Saw it yesterday at the Toledo Show. Sweet looking bird. I'm glad they finally went to the EX flywheel set up. Keyed directly to the crank. It's so much easier to dial in the start shaft and clutch. Basically, this ship is in between the original Freya and the X-Spec. You guys are going to like it. Thanks!

What's the deal with that horizontal fin?
Not enough lift from the main rotor or something? Heheheh.

Is says it uses the Eagle3 flywheel, its not keyed to the shaft.
It uses a tapered collar.

I3DM - The head block is about 20mm shorter than the old version. That's how you can now use up to 710's.

Stephen,

Perfection in helis is usually from a particular point of view. I personally don't regard the 2 point suspension of the Hirobo swashplate to be much of an issue. I have yet to suffer a washout puller failure on the Sceadu and I'm using the stock item. I heard the same thing with the puller on the Caliber. I didn't have that one fail either. It's not perfect but if you want the metal one, there is one available.

So if you were going to convert a x-spec to the new head what parts would you need? I hope you would not need a new yoke. That would be really lame!

This heli is sweet. New blade grips (look like big Evo 50 grips)in the leading pitch arm configuration, a slightly different tail gear box for more clearence near the push rod, a colleted eagle 3 type fan hub, and a really wicked set of new boomsupports that can handle just about anything. The head dampeners are different compared to the old ones and should be the trick for 3D. I got to stare at the machine for the whole weekend and can't wait to get my hands on it. This heli comes ready for your 90. Gonna be good. I just need to find the part number for it.

adding the conversion kit from crabon extreme to convert the dampening system to hold the spindle by 2 dampers, then the rotor head mechanisum of freya evo would be much like the Ruediger F3C rotor head.

Will the
Double BRG supported pinion gear, new design auto rotation one way BRG, Eagle 3 type fly wheel
fit the standard Freya, what will it take to upgrade these parts? Will I need the new upper sideframes?

yes this may be another freya but this machine is very different from all others . the new 80 degree dampners i flew this week end were great
just like the carbon extreme they handled very good and made the responce fast but was a littile forgiving in the feel of the machine.
i have softer ones 70-60 to try this week and i will report in.
they changed alot and all for the better

thanks jeff mcphail
