I have a Sirius Carge Pro Series battery charger that will charge up to a 2000mah Nicd rx pack. The largesr rx Nicd Pack I can find anywhere on the market is 1700mah. Does anyone have any idea where I can find something larger than 1700 but less than or equal to a 2000mah pack? I am using a futaba radio. I can find a 2000 nimh cell, and my charger will handle that as well, but I was told that using a nimh battery in the rx is not the best because they are more prone to vibration problems. Is nicd better than nimh for the rx pack?

Hi
With what you've got it sounds like you'd be best off with a 2000mah NI-CD these are very common here i can't see why you can't find any near you? NI-CD's are better paticularly if you have a high current draw from digital servo's etc.

where I can find something larger ..

You can get a custom 2400 Nicad pack for about $20.00.
Is nicd better than nimh for the rx pack?
I prefer NiCAD...the current theory goes that they hold the charge longer and have more punch than Nimh.

Been looking for some 2400 myself ... here's some of the stuff I've found thus far, you can probably search for 2000

I am wondering why radicalrc.com offers thier battery pack with double leads? Does it have something to do with the resistance in the lead? Is it really beneficial to get double leads? Thanks!

Depends on what you want to do with them. Most folks I've seen that use multi-battery packs in their aircraft like separate leads for charging and checking each pack individually.

nicad or metal hydrides
My concern is the memory that nicads have ..It seems they are more unreliable than Nickel metal hydrides
