The dates are set for Heli Invasion II this year at the RAMS field in Sumner, WA (30 min south of Seattle). This years event will more have more fun and bigger than last year.

No formal contests but a lot of flying for all, places for begginers to Hover, pilots to fly thier machines and even a little space for some micro electrics. And of course I'm sure a whole lot of bug squashing (aka Night Flying), Special Guest Pilots, Great food and some Great times all included.

The date in seattle for Aug 19 - 21, Pilots fee $20.00 for the weekend flying. On Sat please joins us for a special all you can eat "Low Country Boil (shrimp, potatoes, corn and spicy saugage in a cajun boil)" for $10.00.

Limited Camping space on site no hook ups, for local lodging there's a King Oscar Hotel near the field ( http://www.koscar.net/motels/index.html#pacific ).

Address of the field:
3200 W Valley Hwy E Sumner, WA 98390-9714

yes our field is the light brown < in the middle of the screen (work tables) as you can see we have a lot of over fly area.

There's parking next to the pits and above them right next to the road.

Can't make it this year. Last year was a great time. Didn't have any trouble getting air time. Nice field and a good group of guys.

Is there any more information on this field in general ? (ie, is club membership required, house rules, website, etc)

I drove past it today and was very impressed by the layout and amount of flying space. Seeing as how this is the nearest field to me now, it could be my new home. :^)

Directions for folks in Bremerton
Is there a way to get there with out having to go all the way to 405? Fairly new to the area. Also which club owns the field? Would like to know more as I am looking for a place to call home.

I presume you'll take the ferry to Seattle.

You could go all the way down I-5 until you get to Hwy18. Then go East and catch WA-167 SOUTH at that point. Simply continue the directions from there.

Club Info
The host club for the event is the RAMS, more info can be found at our web site

http://www.homestead.com/rcrams/

Also for people coming from Silverdale / Port Orchard your can take 16 over to I-5 North then take the highway 18 east exit, then go Southbound on highway 167 and continue the directions from there

Hope this helps looking forward to seeing everyone there
