Ok, just to benchmark whether my experieces with lipos's and brushless engines are the same as yours. I am doubting a little, because each time I charge my lipo I get only about 1450 ma in it, while I have a 2100 ma lipo. This is my first electric so I just want to verify this with you guys.

My setup:
4xHS56 + GY401
CC35
Mega 16/15/3 13T
TP2100 GenII
charger: Robbe Infinity II LIpo

I get flight times of approx. 10 minutes, doing mild flying. (lazy eights).
I have my cutoff voltage set to custom 9.0 V, fixed throttle and normal timing. At the end of my flight the engine/controller does not start pulsing (soft cutoff) instead it looses power to a point where I do not have any lift anymore. With a cutoff set to 9.0 it does pulse at a certain moment.

Power seems good, temperature of contoller/engine and lipo are also reasonable.

Lipo has now been cycled for about 10 times.

So is 1450 ma and a flight time of 10 min a reasonable figure, what do you think ?

Regards,

Peter

sounds close. I was putting in about 1800 mah on my 2100's with about 12 min of flight time max. you could have a tight belt or tight links drawing a little more amperage thus the earlier loss of power.

I get between 10 and 12 minutes run time, hovering and FF. Got the same LiPos and they both (the two I have) take 1800mAh in after running them down. I run down with LiPo alarm to 9v - usually loose power at the same time too.

My setup is similar but still using the Align 400S motor until I upgrade:

4xHS56
GY401
Kontronik Jazz
400S
TP2100 GenII

Charger is a Hobbico dual lipo charger - not sure of model #, it's not near me now. Overall has been a good charger.

Hope that helps -
d.

PS - I don't know if this makes me feel better or just confused - I was getting ready to ask if 1800mAh was decent - at times I've put in close to 2000 but was wondering if I should be concerned at 1800...

8.2V for cutoff is too low. You may be damaging your pack by going below 9.0V on a 3S pack.
