Roadmate 700
Hi,

I have the Magellan Roadmate 700 on my van. It works great and is easy to transfer from one car to another because of it's compact size. Look at http://www.gpspassion.com for reviews.

If you want something that is effordable and poket size, get yourself a "Garmin e-trex Vista" it is like a cell phone. You can put it in your pocket or attach it to your belt. You will love it.
It doesn't talk but you really don't need one that is talking.

yeah, join AAA and get all the maps you want. Just don;t buy a GPS with batteries built in. You might want to take it hiking with you and it would suck to have the batteries die on you.
