I have a Raptor 30 with OS 32. Is there a paticular exhaust that will really increase the power or is that a bunch of hype!!

I use CoolPower 30% not sure if that is needed info!

No hype!! Get a MP2, and you will notice a lot more power from your OS32! That's my opinion.

If you keep doing the same thing…...you’re going to get the same results!

Some pipes can give a nice performance boost,
most often it is less than 10% however,
But nothing comes for free,
you will have a more narrow powerband,
can be a pain when in normal mode,
a governer is a good way to "stay on the pipe".

Personally, after wasting a lot of time and fuel
pissing around with tuned pipes to get marginal benefits,
I've come to agree with the comment in Ray's Helicopter book,
"A good muffler is hard to beat"

Just stick with the 30% nitro and use idle up,
get that head speed right up there,
that will do just as well...

From my racing days years ago I can say from experience, definitely. I was at Curtis' school the first week of this month and one of the other guys had his Raptor 50 there and put one of Curtis' MPII's on it and you could see and hear the difference immediately.

I know the MP2Q makes a bit difference on my O.S 50. You need to do a bit of tuning but it's worth it.

My experience of 30 size engines is that they benefit of better muffler/pipes than the simple standard muffler.

I have used Weston onepiece pipes on OS 28F, TT36 and TT39.
They all gives gives better power on the Onepipece pipe and more consistant rpm plus lower noise levels.
The biggest increase of power was on the OS28F but they all runs better and holds rpm much better during high load manouvres .

I think that same thing is valid for the MP2 Q (also a onepiece pipe).

But two-piece tunable pipes are only for very experienced pilot-"engineers".

I have recently switched 2 of my helis (Raptor 30/OS37 and Raptor 50/OS50) to MPII's and was VERY happy with the performance diff. Definately worth the money IMO.
