OK, after rebuilding my Rex after a lapse of intelligence while in a hover I noticed the tail wobbles up and down. The blade tracking is good and checked for binding and slop. I`m lost. Any ideas on what I may have missed? I watched the main shaft and it seems to be running true. The wobble is`nt bad and it`s only up and down but it never did that before.

How did THAT get in there?

Not good enough.
Take out the main shaft. Get a mirror or piece of glass. Roll the shaft on the glass. See if you can feel any bumpiness in the rolling.
Put your eyes on level with the glass and watch the shaft as it rolls, Even the slightest imperfection in the shaft will make a visible gap between the shaft and the glass.
Main shafts are cheap. Get spares.

Check also the tail rotor hub. It is maid of aloy and bends with minor crash. Remove the tail blades and check, then remove the tail rotor and check again with only the tail shaft and slider installed. An unbalanced tail rotor can cause up and down vibration.

If your heli is woblling forward and backwards while in flight but everything else is fine it could simply mean your blades are too tight.
