I was getting a constant tail hunt and jumping at high headspeed .. I took the tail drive apart and the bearings wear all shot in the tail boom..All werer rusty and rough.. I had the stock tail drive from my Hawk Sport from when I upgraded to torque tube drive and thought of all the years I flew the old Schluter stuff and how reliable the Hawk drive is..I pressed out the bearings out of the inserts and drilled the 3 of them to 1/8.. Cut the brass tube to length and spaced them out on the tube and CA'ed them to it.. I made a new drive wire out of the Hawk wire and ground my new flats on it..Lubed it up good with some Silicone grease and Put it all back together and so far the tail is holding much steadier and the tail jumping seems to be gone..Time will tell tho...
One thing I did do is put a light coat of soldier on the back side of the flat in the front..This way when the set screw is tightened down it does not push the drive to one side and when it is spun it spins straight with no wobble..
I will keep the forum updated on how the drive is working out..
