Beautiful shot! D 70? I thought you were going to put that nice 1D mark 2 up there or the H1. Going from 1 of those to a 70? I am getting a rash just thinking about it!

Jeff,

I already knew you were good but, YOU ARE DAMN good blowing the whistle on me for shooting Nikon

All my lenses are Canon, especially 300 and 400L IS 2.8. Just got the Mark II to go with the lenses.

However, once I picked up the D70 with the fisheye, I HAD TO HAVE IT!

Okay, I am ashamed now for shooting Nikon as well I'm tired of switching so, why not shoot with both?

It's the same as I fly with Futaba and JR TX's. I don't get into which is better Ford or Chevy types of arguments. Okay, maybe a little. I just see them as tools, which ever is best for the job.

Tabb, you're gonna be sick to hear this......I'm picking up my Nikon D2X this week .

You can't go wrong with either, Nikon or Canon. Whether D20, Rebel XT, 1D Mark II, or D2X, they're all great tools.

Jeff, are you shooting with the D100 as well? Thanks for blowing the whistle

Blazek, it's a very very tight squeeze into the mount!

Thank you all. I'm hoping to get some shots down at the coast soon.

If you think you need a wider place to put your camera, you can widen it for a few dollars and a trip to the hardware store....

my old mount on the left had this treatment

D50
The D70 is really easy to shoot with IMO.
The camera is a snug fit on the 3x mount, but it fits.
I use the Gentles IR trigger for mine and it is a snap..Pun intended.

I think Jeff's poor D100 is collecting dust these days.

Correction, the Pro 30 mount is tight. No problem mounting the D70 to the Pro 60. Although, I would like it a little wider.

Ethan, let me know if you want to make another (wider) mount. I'll pay you.

The one thing I can't stand with these Prosumer cameras is, THEY DON'T HAVE PC ports (D70) to use wireless remotes, i.e., Pocket Wizards. My Pocket Wizards are collecting dust this Hockey season

Jeff, I'm using the Gentles IR to trigger the D70. Works flawlessly with no lag.

Picking up the D2X tomorrow. Can't wait longer

PS: Greg, thanks man. Sorry about your mishap

I thought something was a little too fishy! Nice shooting Tony!

Blazek,

I don't know about the D70, but with the 20d you have to turn the mount to where the servo is on the left side.

Is the D70 wider than the 20d?

Welcome back to the Nikon fold!

Sorry I haven't been out flying recently, but that will change very, very soon!

Isn't that the truth

How hard is it to put in a trigger port????
I have to use the timer to to time exposures because I can't seem to find one of those dang IR remotes anywhere.
I am going to try the generic TV remote deal here soon.
I mean come on a 4K 1Ds can have one, but not a 1K D70?
