Did you Dial Indicate your Clutch/Start Shaft when you attached it to your Flywheel?

Any one know what that is, dial indicating a clutch/shaft.

If its out of balance it´ll cause the heli to vibrate, since the clutch spins pretty fast.

If you do a search for run-out or dial indicator you will gather information related to both topics.

The search feature of RunRyder is great for gathering information from many different areas. It can be extremely powerful since most topics have been discussed previously. I really do enjoy this site.

You dial indicate the start shaft. I put my dial indicator right before the flat spot ground in it for the set screw to bite onto on the 6mm coupler thing for starting. I try and get to .002 or below. Mine is running at right below .001. I did just stick it in once and it flew fine and another time my Veritcal fin rattled like a MOFO in idle up 2. So I took it out and dial indicated it. Smooooooth now.
