I have a Miniature Aircraft 33" tailboom setup that has never been flown, only assembled. I plan on putting a body on my heli and needed a shorter tail boom kit.
Included is (obviously) the 33" carbon fiber tail boom, the appropriate torque-tube, the appropriate tail boom supports with the molded ends (already assembled), and the graphite pushrod with molded ends. Again, these have never been used in flight. The 33" boom setup came with my heli, and after assembling everything, I determined that I needed a shorter boom.
This kit, purchased new from MA would cost $45 for the boom, $34 for the torque tube, $20 for the boom supports, and $15 for the graphite pushrod. That's $115 + shipping. You can have this setup for $70 + shipping (which I'm guessing would be about $5, give or take).
There is one single flaw with the tail boom: the screw hole where you place that tiny screw (which seems to serve no purpose) through the tail gearbox clamp and into the tailboom had to be widened slightly because MA drilled the hole in the clamp in a different place than what was described in the instructions. It's an exceedingly minor flaw that wouldn't even qualify as cosmetic, but Inevertheless I'm selling the whole setup for $45 less because of it. Buy it and you'll see exactly what I mean.
