What is the largest JR Tx battery that you can buy.. I have an 800 mah tx battery and it only gives me about 3.5 flts on my 8103.. Is that typical?

Thanks

No - something wrong there. I've had the same OLD abused 800mah pack in my 8103 for more than 5 years and it will still go all weekend long flying micro helis.

I am running 2100 MiMH in my 8103 and 10x. Lasts forever! Got them from radicalrc, not very expensive, good quality and service was great. I think you can get 2300's now.

Typically the JR transmitters will draw about 220mA, so an 800 mAH battery pack should last you 3 hours and a bit. If its dropping faster than that, then its time for a new one. OR.... What are you determining as the replace/recharge point ? When was the last time your transmitter was calibrated ?

JR 8103
OK,

It must be my transmitter because I have replaced the battery before with the same results. I had the transmitter worked on a couple of years ago when it was dropped and damaged a switch. I haven't had any more trouble since.

Charging
As for charging I use a hobbico accu cycle plus. I usually just let it trickle charge for a day or so before I fly or I just quick charge it.

Tx Batteries
800(600 mine)mah's way too weak as we know(I have 9303).
So I went to Walmart and bought 8 of 2500mha Nimh cells.
And I also got a 15-min quick charger(charges 4cells at a time).
It takes only 30 min to charge a TX pack.
Oh, don't forget the battery holder. I got one from Ebay for 10.00 shipped.
Think this is the best-buy deal.
