Finally got to fly it!

After returning from a lengthy stay in the Middle East, I finally made it home and found my loving wife and my new 30 Pro waiting for me.
While in the desert I had a GWS Dragonfly shipped to me. When I finally got the darn thing to hover I was hooked!!. The next day I bought the Q 30 and all the fixins (radio, engine, gyro, blades, governor, start shaft, etc.) needed to get me in the air, and had it shipped to my house.
Two months later when I got home, I started construction.
The instructions are as I had read about, short and not very informative.
I had to count the gears on the main and pinion to get my ratio for the governor settings.
Aside from that, the heli is extremely well made as far as I could tell ( I am a newbie to helis) but the proof was in the pudding.
First flight at the field and the Raptor flyers are in awe as am I.
The Q 30 performed awesome. Although I did'nt go much past hovering on that flight I could tell I had a winner.
The only adjustment needed on my radio was to add 30% Expo on the cyclic control. It was a little touchy ( or maybe just my inexperienced thumbs ).
All in all I love my Quick and can't wait to go to the field every weekend.
I just wish there were more Quick flyers in NC to fly with.

You have the same excperience as I had the first time I flew my Quick 30. It´s a bit touchy! They fly great and I will not by another brand as I see it now. If you later on install an OS50 you will have a rocket!! Good luck!

I'm not keeping track but I think this happened on the 8th flight.
I CRASHED.
I knew it would happen sooner or later which made it easier to accept.
I tried to hide it from my better half by removing the broken blades and making the bird as small as possible before I brought it into the house.
I got it into the house without incedent and proceded to act normal.
Then I cracked.
I spilled the beans and retold the story play by play about how I crashed my $0000 helicopter.
She was shocked. More by the fact that I was so calm after crashing my " Pride and Joy ". I cried more when I dropped a frozen burrito on the floor!!!

All was well when the damage only totalled to $150 in parts.
The damage actually cost me twice that because I told her that anything I spent on the helicopter, she could spend at the mall.

Everyone was happy and the heli flies again.
