I have some fuel that is about two years old, which has been sitting in my garage. I live in Memphis where we have four seasons. My question is, does the fuel break down over a period of time? If so, how long should you consider the fuel usable with good chemical makeup.

Thanks,
Sal

Sal, I'll have to recommend that I immediately come over there and remove any remaining fuel you may have since it is extremely dangerous and I have the proper equipment to test it. I will have to run several tests in my Freya, Evo, and Raptor to determine if it is usable.

If it's sealed and in the garage it is probably fine. You can shake it up if you feel the components have seperated. They say to just keep it cool, sealed and out of the sun.

I'll probably be coming up there real soon if you want to gather up the boys.

Later,
John

Sal Welcome to RR
If you are talking about more than a tank full
try it you don't have much to lose
I have had four year old 30% still ran fine
any sun light will degrade nitro the alcohol should be OK
just look at twenty year old Scotch that still works.....

.

You don't stop laughing because you grow old, you grow old because you stopped laughing.
