hey
was looking around for a battery moniter...couldn't really find one i like.....
the only one that i found for under $20-30 was this one: http://www4.mailordercentral.com/he...p?number=804165 but i dont' like how it's open and exposed...

also i was looking at this one: http://www4.mailordercentral.com/he...p?number=126226
does anyone use this one

i'm using an Airtronics RD8000 with the 8 channels but if i buy the battery moniter then i won't have any channels left...is there any way i can like split a channel.....how would that work....have no clue....can i do that and would the same voltage go to the battery montier???

also one more question: i'm starting to run out of channels and was thinking of getting a battery moniter & other accessories.....

Thanks

I've used the first one you have listed for over a year with no probs. Not sure on the extra channel. If you have a tj governor they have an extra port you could plug it into.

I've also used the first one for around a year. Its not as "exposed" as it seems as it does have plastic wrap around it that doesn't show up much in the picture.

Anyway, if you can hook up all your required electronics and still have one extra for the battery montior, then I'd say you are doing fine. I'd worry about not having an extra channel when you need it

hey
thanks ptarp....i think i'm going to go ahead and get that one.....do you guys have pictures of how you mounted it??
i currently do have a channel open you're right but i have a co-pilot that is 1st priority over the battery moniter and that takes up channnel #7.....and then channel #8 is the switch....so then i have no available?

Thanks

I use a Venom Battery meter, it cost $16 at my LHS. Here's a picture of how it's mounted:

I been told that you can use a "Y" cable if you don't have enough channels...haven't tried it myself.
