I'm guessing about 15 minutes. I fly mine on an 8200mah pack and get between 20 and 30 minutes depending on how hard I push.

One thing to watch with the packs you're looking at is the amps you're pulling. With 4400mah at 8C you going to limited to 35a continuous and I know I can pull that kind of amperage with my C40-8L depending again on how hard I fly. Just a thought, but I hate to see anyone smoke a pack.

Ralph, what about if he ran 3 packs to make it 3S3P @ 6600mah? My VE can pull 42amps and i was wondering about using similar batteries in the same way?

It seems that most folks now are running a 3s3p setup. I got my 3s4p early and haven't had a real need to switch.

To answer your question, a 3s3p pack at 8C should be good to 52a continuous (plus a burst capability of 99a) which would be more than enough and it would still be lighter than a 10 cell pack. If I were getting a new pack now, thats the way I'd probably go...either that or a high voltage pack (but I'm not so sure about an HV pack on the Voyager...to much of a good thing ).

Hope that helps,

Ralph W.

Thanks Ralph,
Ps i put my standard VE head back on the other day to do another comparison with my full metal Quick head, and boy oh boy, What a slopy lazy unresponsive pig of a thing it is with the crappy JR plastic head. We can buy the Quick 15 for about $350 here in OZ and i think that the head/swash set up alone is worth that. Thanks for giving me that advice about 2 months ago. My Quick 15 is a now a sacraficial lamb. Its a pity there wasnt someway of fitting that nice Quick 15 tail gearbox to the VE.
