I asked the same question about a year about...I started with the Raptor 50. Everyone I know who's started with the 30 has upgraded to the 50. If you can afford it go for the 50...you won't regret it.

Thanks for the advise. I'm definatly getting the 50. Managed to get a cracking price of £350 for the bird and an OS50 Hyper engine!.

I use 3001 servo's on my raptor 50, except for the tail which has a 9254 which came with the gyro. However at my level of competence, hovering and moving the bird about a little, they will do. Should I manage to progress to anything more hectic then perhaps its time to look at upgrading the servo's.

Anyway when I eventually crash through an increase in 'Nads' I'd rather trash some £10 servos than £60 pound servo's, although I'm sure to be the first person to blame the crappy servos I was using instead of the senility which will probably be the cause.
