Hey guys the milli is rocking now. I have the new pinion in and locktited good. The alignment is perfect and running smooth as glass. I was at a FF yesterday and the milli was rocking but after 3 flights I was cleaning the heli and found that the washout arms are hitting the swashplate at full extremes!

I talked to the local Robbe pro (bob00) and he said his milli and nova do the same thing. I know that it only hits from +9 to +10 deg of pitch and with cyclics added at the same time. I was wondering if anyone has found a way to stop this without taking away throw from the cyclics?

bob00 said he has heard of guys flipping the wash out arms to move them out so they do not hit. Any info would be great. By the way there will be some milli vid up soon, I will post a link to it.

Thanks
Chris

Flip the washout arms and place the control ball on the opposite side.

I run mine like that, and I put a washer under the link to the swash.
You shouldn't have to do anything else but burn fuel.

I did the lever flip as well.

You can also adjust the length of the 4666 links so you get the same pitch without the swash being so high, just make sure you don't wind up hyperextending the washout lever when you go to full negative + full cyclic.

I'm picky about binding, so I only run +/- 9 or so, maybe a little less. With 710mmm blades that's enough for the way I fly.

Enough for the way you fly? I am not sure if anything is enough for the way you fly hehehehe. I have seen all yout vids from a couple years ago and you rocked then.

Ok so just flip the arms and go?

Andy I am not sure which link you mean? Do I need to add the washer or can I run without it?

Thanks for all the info guys!

solution
you can use aftermarket longer washout arms, in this case, you will have bigger range without hitting the swash.
i have on my milly +- 11

Washers on the ball link to the pitch comp arm. In other words the ball link that goes to the swash from the thing your turning around. Take the link off and put a good washer between it P# S3083 (link) and
P# S1025 the alum part that bolts to your washout (pitch comp) arm.
This gives just enough hight to get a little more pitch out of the heli also.
