How does it fly?

Does the kit include everything needed to convert a Raptor 50 to 90 ?
What is needed to convert a Raptor 30 to 90?

What is the gear ratio(Main&Tail) and what size of blades(Main&Tail) are recommended?

Sound totaly crazy

The head on the OS91 may be too wide. YS is a better fit.

Hi all!

I really would like to know why everyone is so worried about the big block conversion. I mean the head speed is going to be the same. The pitch angles are going to be the same. The heli will just run on less throttle and have more punch. Have any of yall heard the difference between the 30 and the 50??? The 30 sounds like its twisting its nuts off to stay in the air. The 50 almost idles. The 91 will just idle at a lower RPM. Then on top of that you'll have more punch. You fellas out there that think it's any more dangerous than a 50 are odviously clueless.

What about an OS46 in an R30?!?!
"Big block" of sorts

Anyone think that could turn out well

-Jvr

Ps, show stopper, what yr saying there is essentially right accept with that extra punch you hit much higher stress levels... Not neccisarily dangerously though lol...

i figure that with the bb, you wont need 30% nitro,.. maybe 5%, so that would make flight costs less,..

I've got a R50 with a OS61 and Muscle Pipe 1 spinning light 680's. I think it's got more punch than my R90. Close to 2.5-3lbs of weight difference is quite a lot!

TT Helis, just out of curiosity, where have you seen this conversion and who was flying?

The Raptor 50 has an 8.5 gear ratio which will be fine for a YS91 as long as you keep the headspeed around 1750.
