hey guys
just installed gv 1 in my raptor 60, have it set up as follows
sr1 - off -normal
sr2- 1650 - idle 1
sr3-1750 - idle 2
set switch G to change speeds, ch 8 to turn gov on and off, performed limit test as described before first flight, followed instructions as best under stood, hovered heli, switched to idle 1, then idle 2, no noticable rpm change from one mode to the other, landed heli, checked max rpm display, read 1620 as max rpm, ami doing something wrong?
have my 9c set up thru govenor function as: 1- 0%
2-65%
3-75%
switch g
mix -act
i do not know if govenor is actually working, but tried throttle "test" function, and it worked fine, ant hints or help would be most appreciated
raptor 60, w/o.s. 61, and 9cap radio

To know if your GV is working? Simple. Just maintain your idle up curve as standard, i.e. like your normal curve. Set the idle up rpm to say 1600. Hover your chopper and kick in the idle up. Then put your chopper on the ground by lowering the throttle stick. If the GV is working, the blade rpm will not drop.

Good luck.

I'm not sure how you can go from 1650 to 1750 with your TX set up as:

0%
65%
75%

Leave the TX set to:

0%
50%
100%

Set up your GV-1 on the heli, not the Radio.

Also, why not put 1550 on S1? You have an on/off switch already...

I would think that you already set your throttle curve correctly without the GV-1. It if is anywhere near your intended 1650, there won't be a noticable difference. The only other thing I can think of is your sensor is:

-Your sensor is too far away from the magnet
-Your magnet fell out
-Your sensor case broke mid flight (seeing as it registered 1620)
-Reset your IDLE, HIGH, and STOP settings.
-Your Gear Ratio is off on the GV-1
-Recheck the sensor reading. Should be at least 60% if not higher ( I shoot for 80%)

But I would seriously go back to the default settings on the radio and set your RPMs on the GV-1 itself.

My $.02

Mark is exactly right. When you set the governor setting at the radio down to 75%, you cut down your RS3 setting enormously, resulting in it being a near match to your RS2 setting.
