Hello everyone,

I am converting my X-Cell 60 into a gasser and I want ot put it into a fuselage. I can't shell out the $700 Scalehouse wants for their birds. I have been looking at Vario's fuselages however. They have several "petrol" bodies. Does anyone by chance know if the X-cell will fit into one of these?? I would appreciate any and all help!

Thanks,

Chip

The way Vario does there wood kit that you have to put together -- I don't think it would be very hard to Drill some holes in the mounting blocks nor change there location to fit your mechanics. You may have to build this up to match the height but, It's all wood and as long as you keep the bottom rails you could build what you need! Here is a photo of what the wood kit looks like. Hope this helps!!------ I just went out to take a Photo for you but, the camera was dead!! I will post those pictures in about an hour. This is the wood mounted in a Huey 205 Vario that I'm building for a friend. Till then!

WOW!

Thanks! Right you are! Plenty of room to play with. I work as a helicopter airframe repairer. I have plenty of experience with building things and these photos show me that there is plenty of room to play. Thanks very much for your help!

The Xcell gasser will fit into the big Jet ranger also. I have done that one myself. You need to change the gear ratio, and maybe the mainshaft. Bergen can help you with the gear ratio change.

Thanks to all the replys. My question has been answered. I greatly appreciate you help! I am doing the Bergen conversion so I am getting the gear ratio change but I will need to do the shaft change too.

Hey PP,
I've got a Petrol Jet Ranger body with cockpit and chrome exhaust tips. New In box, just looked (and drooled) at it a little. I'll let it go for U$475 shipped. Save a few bucks, no need to deal with ^@%#! Vario and you don't have to wait 3 months for them to ship it to you either.

Jet Ranger
Hey Fritz,

Thanks for the offer. I'm wanting something more like a BK117 or a 412. I plan to do the multiblade deal. Thanks again.
