Even though it is not one of your choices the Century Falcon 46/50 gets my vote!

I have not built the sheadu so I do not know about it, but I am building a falcon 50 right now, and it looks awesome. Alot like an xcell. I just built the linkages and am about ready to start radio install. Looks good. Check it out. $400 new. It is a real 50, not a converted 30.

I would say the Rap 50, but forget all of the metal stuff unless you want a really pretty machine. Certain upgrades to increase precision and performance, but most are just eye candy. Personally, I love the eye candy!

I do not own a Raptor but I always read here that they have a problem with the clutch shoe and some woof and poof ....................and you has to spend in metal stuff

The Sceadu has a out of traking issue.............

The Fury, I dont know nothing.

The Falcon 50 comes fully loaded for $400.oo and there is not problem with broken clutch, woof /poof, out of traking etc.......
The Falcon is a Problem free heli.

So, I dont understand why you do not put the Falcon on your poll

First reaction is to say Raptor 50, with only some of the metal stuff, because I absolutely love mine. But if you are the serious 3D pilot, I think the Fury would be the best choice as it is a more capable and rugged airframe. Plus they are now selling them at a super good price.

Sceadu 50..... I was so happy with it I figured I'd make a website....

If I had to pick one of your selections I'd go for the Fury 50 as that one can be made into a Fury 60/90 with little mod.

Best 50
You will find the Century Falcon 50SE V2 or the Raven 50 will satisfy all your requests..... no upgrades needed as it comes loaded......inexpensive......very light (7.5lbs) for a fantastic power to weight ratio....light disc loading with the 600mm Fiberglass blades that it comes with....inexpensive to repair .... carbon fiber torque tube drive .... includes slipper clutch.....triple bearing tail rotor... ball bearings on everything....etc. etc.etc...

See the revues in Rotory on the previous version 1 from last summer and/or on the new Version II in last months Model Helicopter World magazines or Kirks "blow by blow" building review on the RCUniverse site to get a better idea.

Comparing others, feature for feature, dollar for dollar, you will see why it has become so popular in so short a time. It is just being discovered for the gem it is.

Isaac F,

Quantify your statement: "The Sceadu has a out of traking issue............."

That is the first time I have ever heard that. My tracking has always been spot on. So has everyone elses Sceadu I have worked on.

So again I challenge you to quantify your statement.

what 50?
I am also considering getting a new 50. I don't think I would get the Fury 50 because of the weight. And I have had too many Raptors in the past. So I'm thinking about either the Hirobo, or JR. I know that the support Jeff G. provides is great, and the Voyager is more money.
What about how easy they assemble (including after a crash) and how big a difference in repair costs? And what kind of flight times are they getting with the OS? I have seen the Hirobo fly (very nice) but not the JR. What does everyone think of the JR's flying?

Hello Volkul. Well I was referring to the Flutter problem on the Sceadu.
Some people call it, momentary out of traking or woof & Poof.

Here are some post about this:

Volkul, Let me tell you that I am a Hirobo BELIEVER.
I love Hirobo Helis. I have 4 Shuttle´s, a Sceadu 50 and a
Falcon 50V2. I personally experience the Flutter problem on my Sceadu.

Cheers,

Isaac

"Thats old news, it is just a matter of assembling the Sceadu properly whereas the Raptor is a real common problem on any of them even new ones, as there is no 100% fix on the Raptors."

_____________________________________________________

Not sure I agree, I've only seen it a couple of times on Raptors and never on mine. The two cases I've seen were both due to head speeds around 2000 RPM at mid stick 0 degree's pitch, a little throttle curve adjustment fixed them both. I'm not trying to flame you Seneca I just get a little tired of the Raptors are junk mantra.
