Here is what I have:

Raptor 30
OS 32
stock pipe
Futaba 301 gyro
Hi-Tech 605BB servos (tail servo mounted on boom)

I cant get the heli to hover without spinning out of control. The linkage is in the second hole from the end of the servo horn, I have had the gain from 0 - 100% on the high side of the gyro, CH 5 is set at 90% both ways. I have even tried moving that from 25-100%. Nothing seems to work. The best I can get is the tail will start to go one way and if I catch it quick enough I can stop it and it will go the other way then I cant stop it. I am about to throw the whole heli through a window!!!!!!!!!!! Can anyone help??????? Thanks.

Happened to me once, I would say your Gyro is reversed.
Hope this helps.

You need to find an experienced heli pilot near you and have him (or her) go over the heli and fly it to get it happy. You will learn a lot and once it is happy you can concentrate on hovering not figuring out what is wrong.

Use RC pilot locator and get some help to get started on the right foot. And ditto on what the above said, you probably have the gyro reversed. When you push the rudder stick to the right the heli should turn clockwise, the linkage will move forward.

The radio is a Fuataba 6XAS and the receiver is an R127DF.

When I add right stick, the servo arm does move forward and the heli does turn clockwise..........and when I pull the boom to me while its on the bench the servo moves forward as well. Thanks guys!!

As mentioned, your Gyro is reversed.

Other common troubles worth checking:
Reversed tail belt (twist wrong way)
Reversed T/R servo direction.

R&R
I experienced this and found the solution in reverseing the tail servo direction in the transmitter and then reverseing the gyro. I couldn't tell you why but it cured a very scary time trying to keep it air born. Hope this helps. Mike

I just figured it out last night guys. Thanks for all the input, but the reason was that I am "MENTALLY CHALLENGED"!!!! I had the belt twisted in the wrong direction and the tail blades backwards!!!!! I fixed them last night went flying this morning. It was rock solid!! Thank you to everyone for all your help!!
