Many ride Motorbikes and others drive SUV's. Some fly Shuttles and most can afford Fury's . So I ask what kind of people fly Heli's ????

Well........
I am an Engineer who sells, supports and implements 3D CAD software. I agree with Barbary, I demo software, but I would much rather be demoing helis.

I am not as pale as most software engineers though........I have a tanner at home...........and I drive an SUV

Neither....
I rep SolidWorks! When I started with the company 5 years ago, we only had 3000 seats world wide. Today, we have over 190,000

I would really like to fly helis for a living, but the way things are now I can honestly say.......I LOVE MY JOB!!!!!

Systems manager, Kitchen designer, chief cook and bottle washer.
Seems like to do well you have to do all in this world, not just one particular field, because that field may be thin at times.

Hockeytown,

I like SolidWorks a lot. I am learning it. I had to learn Pro/E first because my CAD teachet thought that SolidWorks and SolidEdge were two "low end" CAD package. I don't agree with him. Off course, you might have more power with Pro/e and UG as far as analysis go but for modeling, they are just the same.

Truck driver... Too many hobbies helicopters, photography, mountain biking, road biking. I just bought a new road bike ( the kind with peddal's Cannondale R800 Triple if anyone cares) $1,100 really made me cringe until I realized I spend that on a heli and don't even bat an eye.

Mechanical Designer. E-mail me for screen shots of my Ergo assemblies modeled using Solidworks. Good stuff. If I ever get some free time I might generate some nice renderings.

UH-60 Blackhawk mechanic. Currently acting ISO 9001 quality assurance evaluator over the 120 million dolllar / year maintenance contract. Perfect job... walk around all day long and spot deficiencies with the maintenance contractor company and write it down on the clipboard... I don't have to fix any of it as that is what thier maintenance managers get paid to do. I also have to review thier answers to the opportunities for putting out a more quality product.

Wow, alot of software/hardware/networking people here answered so far. I finish my CIS degree in December, the same time I retire from the US Army... any of you have any positions coming open? LOL - networking on RunRyder... gotta love it.

Cocktail Mixers...
I have got it made...I oversee production on Margarita, Colada, Bloody's, Cosmo's, and Fruit Flavored Cocktail mixers for Boulder Beverage Co. I have a lot of spare time for Helis...when we are not making "joy juice" as I like to call it.

I work 2 jobs and go to college full time. Any other free time and I'm either flying or hanging out with fam or friends.

I want to be a professional aircraft pilot. I already have my private pilot license and am working on my instrument.

Oh yea, and I absolutely love R/C helicopters!!!!
