Right now I´m flying my Vigor with the YS 61 ST-2, I really need the header tank?

Toto

if you fly hard it will keep your carb from sucking air when your fuel level drops and it lets you fly till your main tank is dry. otherwise it doesn't make much difference.

With my YS .61STII in my Fury I don't run a header tank and get a consistent run till the tank is totally empty. The fuel is literally being forced into the engine is the main reason a YS motor isn't picky about a header tank.

i missed the part about the ys engine--rappy's right, if it's already pressure-fed then a header serves no necessary purpose... which makes me wonder why i ran out today and bought a header for my ys 80 that's arriving monday. wa$te!

Hi rappy,

I understund that part and I agree with you, but in some maneuvers like flips, stationary rolls or sideway loops, I feel like the engine comes a little lean.

Toto

If I makes you comfortable to put a header on, then by all means do so. Mine works fine without one.

Yeah yeah be a cheapskate. Tell us what happens when your down 1/2 a tank or so and you dip the nose down into the wind and the clunk on the main tank is sucking up air. You kick yourself in the rear after it flames on you.
