I've got three of 'em. One older model which is like the FMA SuperNova and two of these newer ones that I use here at work. Super excellent chargers. Probably the most proliferate charger you see at a Fun-Fly.

Viva La Airtronics!

I also have one and I love it. Works quite well with Nimhs and Nicds.
Easy to program and use. I also have a SuperNova and a SuperBrain by MRC. I would rank them 1. Dymond, 2. SuperNova, 3. SuperBrain.

My SuperNova has a false peaking problem when charging Nimhs at current levels that are > 0.5C. At 1/4 C charge current, my SuperNova seems to work well with Nimhs also. The Dymond is more reliable with Nimhs.

I have the same problem with supernova. I have to charge 1600mA NiMH cells at 100mA and it may still stop charging them after 50-80mAh go through.

Yep, thums up for the Dymond. Only thing it doesn't do is Lead-acid or Gel-Cell batteries (ie. your starter battery). It also doesn't come with a wall power supply, so you are restricted to only using it from a 12V source.
However, an old PC power supply works great, or make up a set of leads using a cigarette lighter plug, and you can charge your batteries on the way to the field while you are driving there!
Cheers from NZ!

I have one for my electric planes. I love it. The programming feature is perfect. That and the ability to select different charge/discharge modes, the digital readout, nice compact size, built in cooling fan....I could go on and on. Best $100 I ever spent on a charger.

I heartily recommend you get one.

Jeff
